Job Description
This company is seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to drive growth by maximizing sales opportunities across both existing accounts and new vertical markets. This role is central to expanding market presence and achieving commercial success through strong customer relationships, strategic account development, and proactive sales execution. The Key Account Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of key clients, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and deliver solutions that enhance their workplace environments. The Key Account Manager will lead account strategies that increase revenue, profitability, and customer loyalty, positioning the company as the partner of choice in the workplace solutions industry. A key aspect of this role involves supporting tender bid responses (RFI, RFQ, RFP), developing compelling, commercially sound submissions that showcase the company’s value proposition. Close collaboration with internal teams across sales, design, and operations is essential to ensure solutions are aligned with client needs while driving measurable results. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B sales management, ideally within the office furniture, interiors, or commercial fit-out sector. A strong background in managing and developing customer accounts to deliver against revenue targets is essential. They should also be commercially astute with excellent negotiation and strategic sales skills, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Manage and grow relationships with key furniture dealers, ensuring consistent engagement and support.
  • Support tender responses, including narrative development, pricing alignment and internal coordination.
  • Deliver client presentations and pitches across all levels of the business.
  • Collaborate with A&D team to secure specifications prior tender release.
  • Coordinate Day 2 supply, contact delivery and ongoing O&M requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve project conflicts and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Coordinate the pursuit of major project opportunities, including public and private sector tenders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and positioning.
  • Track sales performance using CRM systems and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Represent the company at key industry events and networking opportunities to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales management, ideally within the office furniture, interiors, or commercial fit-out sector.
  • Strong background in managing and developing customer accounts to deliver against revenue targets.
  • Delivery of new business targets across new products, tenders, frameworks and major projects.
  • Demonstrated success in selling through dealer networks and managing key dealer relationships.
  • Experience contributing to high-value tender submissions and major project bids.
  • Track record of delivering sales growth in a competitive, design-led product environment
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and strategic sales skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders
  • Be able to act as the ambassador for the company at all times, showing pride in the role, and in the company, with a positive attitude.
  • Good time planning skills and the ability to prioritise work load whilst understanding the need for the project to deliver a profit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in preparing detailed sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable to changing market dynamics.
  • Understanding of the tendering process and bid management.
