Job Description
A high-class interior design brand is seeking a Prospecting Sales Representative to join their team in London. The company specializes in creating unique spaces that reflect individual lifestyles, expanding from its origins in kitchen furniture to encompass the entire living area. With operational headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, the brand is establishing a flagship showroom in London, marking its entry into the UK market.
The primary mission of the Prospecting Sales Representative is to develop and expand the company's network of contacts and customers in the London area. This involves prospecting the product range to architectural firms, decorators, design offices, real estate agencies, and construction brokers. Building strong, trustworthy relationships with customers in a competitive environment is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess education in business, international trade, or interior architecture, along with at least 2 years of successful experience in prospecting and managing long sales cycles. Interior design knowledge is considered a plus. Key attributes include the ability to listen, be proactive, work quickly, and adapt effectively. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are vital, and a good level of Spanish would be an asset.
Requirements
- Prospecting and business developing
- Phoning, emailing and visiting
- Participating in the organisation of events in cooperation of the Communication & Marketing department
- Understanding the business challenges of the professionals contacted and offering the brand as a solution
- Identifying potential projects by regularly monitoring and the network of contacts
- Active and constant watching to follow the market’s evolution and identifying the contact person of each project
- Creating and updating a file of prescribers
- Searching for potential customers and negotiating new agreements
- Following up the projects until signature
- Technical advising and supporting, regulated by the construction industry
- Detecting construction projects of the workshops and the different contacts of the sector
- Weekly reporting to your manager
- Education in business, international trade, interior architecture
- At least 2 years of successful experience prospecting and managing long sale cycles
- Interior designing knowledge is a plus
- Ability to listen, be proactive, fast-working and adaptable
- Strong people skills, are self-driven and have good organisation skills
- A good level of Spanish would be an asset
- Committed and quick learner
