Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-end office furniture seating company as a Dealer Salesperson, based out of the London showroom. The primary purpose of this role is to drive sales growth within the UK market through effective engagement with dealer networks, end users, facility managers, and architects. Building and maintaining long-term relationships is essential for promoting the company's premium office solutions and ensuring a strong market presence. The responsibilities of this position include generating and growing project sales through dealer channels, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and actively participating in industry events. The Dealer Salesperson will also be involved in presentations, coordination of leads and tenders, selection of new dealerships, and product training for dealer personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role within the office interiors or related industry, with an established network among architects, furniture dealers, and facility managers. Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a hands-on, problem-solving mentality are essential for success in this role. A proactive team player with a passion for sales and a commitment to sustainable growth is highly desirable.
Requirements
  • Generate and grow (project-)sales for our UK business via the dealer channels
  • Establishing, expanding and maintaining good relations with end users, dealers and facility managers as appropriate
  • Active participation in the marketplace beyond the daily business to improve the recognition and reputation of Wilkhahn
  • Samplings and Presentations
  • Coordination and processing of leads, enquiries & tenders
  • Selection of new dealerships practices and agreement of delivery & payment conditions (in agreement with line manager)
  • Product & sales training of dealership personnel
  • Assist in marketing and promotion of Wilkhahn office furnishings (focus on chairs, table and conference systems)
  • Co-organisation of events & exhibitions
  • Market observation, development of new markets, market segments & strategies (in agreement with line manager)
  • Report KPI & project progress to ensure effective management of sales strategy to directors and senior colleagues
  • Provide feedback to our design team in relation to sales performance as well as products missing from our portfolio that would likely generate additional sales
  • Place of work is basically at the showroom in London, whereby approx. 50% to 70% of the working time is travel time
  • Have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role within the office interiors industry or a closely related industry
  • Established a strong network within the A&D, furniture dealer and/or facility management community in the UK
  • Have basic knowledge of ergonomics and workplace wellbeing principles
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Have hands-on mentality and an open-minded personality with a general positive attitude towards problem solving and overcoming obstacles
  • Be commercially driven, with strong business acumen and a focus on sustainable growth
  • Feel comfortable to act as a dynamic central player between architects, dealers and facility managers
  • Be a true team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Show personal responsibility, ownership and initiative in managing tasks and projects
  • Good English language skills
  • One other language is desirable
  • German language skills are not required but are an advantage
  • Industry Experienced or related Industry Experienced
  • Residing in London or London Suburb
  • Good Industry Knowledge and orientation of the Market
  • Good communication skills
  • Practical approach and ability to problem solve
  • Strong Commercial acumen and endeavour
  • Responsibility taker (a must with Wilkhahn being such a small team – plus Tony))
  • Hard worker that sees the role as more than 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Strong team player (all for one, one for all principle) - To fit within the team it really is a ‘sleeves rolled up’ approach that is needed.
  • Essentially Dealer focused but ideal if the candidate also has A&D / D&B/ fit-out connectivity
  • No specific list of Dealers/clients from Wilkhahn’s side and flexibility here…..On the principle that best connected would be best suited as main point of contact for any potential customer/company.
