Job Description
This role is with a leading UK manufacturer of high-end office furniture, working within the Sales function and reporting to the Group Sales Director. The role is London based and focused on the Corporate sector, maintaining and developing sales in line with agreed targets by managing existing accounts and identifying and winning new ones.
You will proactively manage an allocated portfolio of Corporate accounts through regular telephone, email and site contact, running reviews face to face or by phone to monitor contract performance and uncover further sales opportunities. Alongside that you will develop new business from a targeting list, respond to requests for information, literature and tenders, and produce clear, accurate quotations, briefs and proposals.
The role carries a strong product and presentation element. You will deliver presentations and demonstrations of new and existing products, arrange delivery and return of demonstration stock, keep accounts up to date on product developments, and represent the business at trade exhibitions and events. You will negotiate terms of business including price, delivery and specification, and actively promote the wider service portfolio covering installation, the service centre, ergonomics and recycling.
You will work closely with Customer Services and the Quality Department to resolve customer complaints, including reports, photographs and site visits where needed, and refer or share opportunities with the wider Sales Team. Market intelligence is part of the job: monitoring competitor and market developments and feeding back to the Sales Management Team. You will also handle Corporate reporting and database management, submitting monthly and ad hoc reports, and run inductions for new dealer and customer accounts. There is no supervisory responsibility attached to the position.
